Wood doesn't typically come to mind when thinking of "flexible" materials, yet nothing is impossible. This book cover was laser cut from 1/8th" plywood. In order to allow for flexibility in the binding, a pattern consisting of staggered lines was vector cut. The close proximity of the lines allows the wood to bend and flex as manipulated. Then, kettle stitch binding was used to attach the cover to the four signatures inside. I finished off the book with an engraving of my branding.
